2010 Webinar Series

Building Blocks for Improving Quality: Topics and Tools for Quitlines


For the past five years the NAQC Seminar Series has highlighted best- and innovative- practices throughout the quitline community and offered members the opportunity to dialogue with colleagues and experts on issues of importance to us all. The 2010 Webinar Series will "build” on these past efforts, aiming to provide even more benefit to participants by providing robust background documents before each seminar and hosting each seminar via webinar!

Building Blocks for Improving Quality: Topics and Tools for Quitlines will provide participants the opportunity to review current practices against NAQC recommended standards and the practices of colleagues; sharpen their quality-improvement tools while discussing topics that impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of services; and increase their understanding of the resources available to strengthen quality improvement efforts. Topics have been selected based on valuable input from NAQC members and are intended to support achievement of NAQC's mission and goals.

Participation in NAQC’s Seminar Series is available at no charge for all NAQC members. Non-members are welcome to participate on a fee-for-service basis and should email NAQC at membership@naquitline.org to learn more about participating in this important series.

NAQC maintains a library of past seminars, which includes presentations, additional resources, and seminar summaries. NOTE: The library is available to NAQC members only.


How to Participate in the Seminars


NAQC Members: Registration is required for all webinars that are part of the series. Please visit the event calendar page and select the event you are interested in to find registration information.

Non-Members: Non-members may participate in the NAQC Seminar Series on a fee-for-service basis. To make arrangements please contact NAQC at membership@naquitline.org. Be sure to include the date you wish to join, the seminar topic, and the number of participants.


Seminar Materials


NAQC Members: Approximately one week before the seminar, all members will receive an e-mail with a link to the NAQC event calendar. All seminar-related materials, including the agenda with dial-in instructions, are posted to the appropriate seminar calendar date. Seminar summaries are also posted to the calendar approximately one week following the seminar. NOTE: You will need to login to access the calendar.

Non-Members: One week before the seminar or upon registration (if registered less than a week before the seminar) non-members will receive an e-mail containing the seminar agenda and other seminar-related materials. Seminar summaries will be sent to non-members approximately one week after the seminar.
