Structure
The North American Quitline Consortium (NAQC) is the only organization
dedicated to the promotion and development of evidence-based quitline
services in North America. By bringing quitline partners together—including
state and provincial quitline administrators, researchers, quitline service
providers, and national organizations in the United States and Canada—NAQC
helps facilitate shared learning and encourages a better understanding of
quitline operations, promotions, and effectiveness to enhance overall
quitline efforts.

Serve on the
NAQC Board
NAQC’s board of
directors is committed to the organization’s advancement and sustainability.
Directors are elected by organizational members and serve three-year terms;
officers are elected by the directors and serve one or two-year terms. The
board governs the organization under the Carver Policy Governance model. Each
spring, NAQC conducts its election of the Board of Directors by the

Attend NAQC Seminar Series
Since 2004 NAQC has used conference call and webinar technology to offer
members and partners an opportunity to dialogue with colleagues and experts
from across North America on critical quitline-related topics. The 2012/13 Webinar
Series will continue the long-standing mission of NAQC’s education and

Become a Corporate Roundtable
Delegate
Membership in
NAQC is limited to organizations that are engaged in quitline work. However,
the Corporate Roundtable provides an opportunity for organizations to be kept
updated on the progress of quitlines and to engage in a dialogue on issues of
importance to quitlines and cessation. By becoming a delegate to the
Corporate Roundtable, your organization can directly contribute to NAQC’s

The Advisory Council
is a leadership group that provides guidance and advice on programmatic
issues to NAQC’s President & CEO and staff. The Council meets fours times

Would you like to share a resource or information about an opportunity with
NAQC members and partners? NAQC publishes a monthly e-newsletter, Connections,
which is distributed to over 400 members of the quitline community in North
America. We encourage our members and partners to take advantage of Link 2
