What is this webinar about?

The 90-minute, interactive webinar (co-sponsored by NAQC and the Multi-State Collaborative for Health Systems Change) will feature presentations by Michael Fiore, MD, MPH, Director of the University of Wisconsin Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention and Donna Shelley, MD, MPH, Clinical Associate Professor in the New York University College of Dentistry and School of Medicine.

Dr. Fiore will open the webinar with a review of the new Joint Commission tobacco measures and other significant changes in the health care landscape, highlighting possible implications and opportunities for quitlines. Dr. Shelley will follow with a presentation on her recent publication, Implementing a Fax Referral Program for Quitline Smoking Cessation Services in Urban Health Centers: A Qualitative Study. The webinar will conclude with questions and discussion with participants.
