Announcing a Staff Change at NAQC

I am pleased to announce that NAQC has hired Maria Rudie, MPH as Research Manager. Maria is a public health professional with over 12 years of experience in tobacco control and cessation. Maria has worked for Minnesota Department of Health as a principal state planner for Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) and Community Transformation Grants (CTG) in order to help achieve the goals of reducing obesity and tobacco use rates, chronic disease morbidity and mortality, and health care costs statewide. She will be an excellent addition to NAQC staff! As research manager, Maria will serve as the lead research and evaluation staff within NAQC. She will be responsible for overseeing NAQC’s research and evaluation portfolio (including the annual survey of quitlines, minimal data set, evaluation of our CDC cooperative agreement and literature reviews on best practices)and enhancing activities in this area.
