Dear NAQC Members,
On April 6, 2016 NAQC hosted a webinar on the pilot test of a new LGBT Identity measure. If you were unable to join us, you can listen to the recording and view the slides here.
During the webinar, NAQC announced that it was considering a change to the MDS LGBT Identity measure based on the pilot findings and sought feedback from members on whether the change should be made and the timeline for the change. NAQC received feedback from many members offering support and additional suggestions for changes to the LGBT Identity measure, as well as concerns about the timing for implementation of any proposed change.
In light of feedback from members, NAQC has decided to seek additional review and feedback from the NAQC Advisory Council during its summer meeting. A final decision regarding any changes to the MDS LGBT Identity measure will announced in later this summer. If there is a change, NAQC will ask quitlines to implement the change within 6 months from the time of the announcement.
If you have questions or concerns about the proposed new LGBT Identity measure, review process or timing, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
