In the midst of much exciting news for tobacco cessation and quitlines, NAQC is pleased to offer members a new tool developed by the KIQNIC Research Team – "Evidence for Quitline Practices.” This tool, along with its shorter companion piece, is intended to provide clarity on the level of scientific evidence for various quitline practices. Based on feedback from NAQC's KIQNIC workgroup, the research team also took time to assign each practice a rating for both efficacy and reach.
- Evidence for Quitline Practices
- Evidence for Practices by Category (a shorter version without full citations included)
We hope this tool proves valuable to you in your work and invite your comments and suggestions on its contents, limitations and ways to make it even more useful. Please send your thoughts to Tamatha Thomas-Haase at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many thanks to the research team and to the KIQNIC workgroup for their contributions!
