2017 Survey

Since 2004, NAQC has conducted an annual survey of quitlines in North America. The information collected in the survey advances our understanding of quitline operations and services. By sharing information about quitline financing, counseling interventions, medication provision, utilization, staffing and evaluation, quitlines contribute greatly to the field. Aggregate results are shared with the quitline community and partners and help achieve NAQC's mission of monitoring overall progress of quitlines and promoting evidence based quitline services across diverse communities in North America.

Each year NAQC reviews the Annual Survey to determine if changes are needed. In 2017, NAQC reviewed comments and feedback from members on the FY2016 Annual Survey to guide changes to the FY2017 Annual Survey.

Although we had hoped to conduct the Annual Survey in Canada as well as the U.S. this year, we have not been able to secure Canadian funding.

FY2017 ANNUAL SURVEY – Training Webinar
The Training Webinar for the FY2017 Annual Survey was held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 3:00pm to 4:30pm (ET).

This webinar provided quitlines information on changes to the FY2017 Annual Survey questions and tips for submitting data.

FY2017 ANNUAL SURVEY – Launch Dates
NAQC is please to announce the FY2017 Annual Survey will open on October 2, 2017 and close on December 8, 2017.

Special Note: We have extended the closing date for the survey to allow states sufficient time to gather and review data before submitting. We encourage states to use the month of October to work with their service provider to gather utilization, demographic and evaluation data. The month of November can then be used by the state to gather budget and other service information data before submitting data by December 8, 2017.
