What was covered during this webinar?

In October 2016, the American Cancer Society’s Center for Tobacco Control and the Smoking Cessation Leadership Center at the University of California, San Francisco, co-hosted a national summit to address the extremely high prevalence of tobacco use among people with mental illnesses and addictions. This webinar provided an overview of the national data and current behavioral health landscape along with highlights from the Behavioral Health Summit and an overview of the action plan and Call-to-Action were presented by Cliff Douglas, Director for the Center for Tobacco Control at the American Cancer Society and Catherine Saucedo, Deputy Director, Smoking Cessation Leadership Center. Robert Vargas, Optum and Amy Lukowski, National Jewish Health discussed initiatives their organizations have undertaken to address the needs of the behavioral health population.
