Today the American Lung Association has released a new case study called Medicaid Tobacco Cessation Coverage in Oklahoma: A Case Study in Leveraging Systems and Partnerships.  This case study explores Oklahoma’s efforts to help tobacco users on Medicaid quit by improving coverage for treatments, making treatment easy to access and promoting the Medicaid benefit. It details how the tobacco control community and Medicaid staff learned how to navigate Medicaid systems and use their partnerships to get results.

The Lung Association is pleased to highlight the great work in Oklahoma in the hopes of encouraging other states to consider these strategies. You can download the case study here, and feel free to share with others or link to the document from your websites, newsletters, etc.
