| Expanding Our Understanding of Medicaid |
Purpose: Provides an in-depth examination of the changes taking place in state Medicaid programs across the country. (The findings in this report are drawn from the 14th annual budget survey of Medicaid officials in all 50 states and the District of Columbia conducted by the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured and Health Management Associates (HMA), with the support of the National Association of Medicaid Directors.)
Purpose: Reviews how the Medicaid program is structured, who it covers, what services it provides, how it is financed and how much it costs. Provides an overview of how Medicaid changes as a result of the Affordable Care Act.
Medicaid Overview: State and Federal Partnership Purpose: PowerPoint examines how the federal and state Medicaid systems work together and highlights Medicaid’s role in the healthcare system, expenditures and spending, populations served, and numbers of Medicaid enrollees receiving care through managed care arrangements broken out by state.
