Building a case for partnerships, building relationships, and persistence are vital to developing a partnership between Quitlines and Medicaid. Once established, sustaining the partnership, ensure correct services are provided, and ensure accurate reimbursement is required. A collection of case studies and lessons learned was developed from four states (South Carolina, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire) highlighting the changing landscape and lessons learned within each state to provide others with reflections on overcoming challenges and more smoothly implementing partnerships with Medicaid.
