NAQC is a learning organization and offers a variety of services to its members, including: one-on-one technical assistance, peer-to-peer learning and educational webinars; opportunities to collaborate and network; a variety of member communications and online resources to keep you informed about quitline research and best practices, cessation and tobacco control; in-person conferences focused on issues of importance to members; and advocacy on behalf of quitlines.

Learn About NAQC & Membership Structure

The North American Quitline Consortium (NAQC) is the only organization dedicated to the promotion and sustainability of evidence-based quitline services in North America. NAQC’s priority is to present a vision for quitlines in an extremely dynamic political and funding landscape through collaboration with members, partners and leaders in cessation services. NAQC, and the quitline community, is committed to ensuring that people who use commercial tobacco are encouraged to quit, that high-quality cessation services are readily available to all who want to quit, and that we move forward on tobacco end-game strategies.

Bringing quitline funders, service providers, researchers, and health organizations in the United States and Canada together virtually and in-person, NAQC facilitates shared learning and encourages best practices in quitline promotion and operations to enhance overall quitline effectiveness. NAQC membership is a great investment for advancing careers in commercial tobacco control, ensuring sustainability of quitline programs, and staying on the cutting edge of best practices, research findings, and technological advancements. Attend NAQC Webinars

Since 2004, NAQC has hosted conference calls and webinars to connect members and partners in dialogue with colleagues and experts from across North America on critical quitline-related topics.

NAQC offers four or more webinars as part of its annual series focused on: promising and better practices, new research findings, and implementation successes and challenges in order to improve quality, increase understanding of the evidence base, and ensure maximized access, use and effectiveness of quitline services.

Would you like to share a resource or information about an opportunity with NAQC members and partners? NAQC publishes a monthly e-newsletter, Connections, which is distributed to over 400 members of the quitline community and partners in North America. We encourage our members and partners to take advantage of Connections to disseminate their resources to the NAQC audience. For information, contact us!

Attend In-person Conferences

NAQC Conferences aim to provide members and partners the opportunity to exchange and disseminate the latest research, information and practices related to the promotion and delivery of quitline services. NAQC's Conferences takes place as an ancillary meeting to the National Conference on Tobacco or Health. Learn more here.

Sign-up for Orientation/Refresher Webinars

These 75-minute webinars provide an overview of NAQC including program areas, technical assistance and workgroup offerings, and introduction to staff. These webinars are for those who are new NAQC members or members who wish to be updated on the newest programs and resources. The webinars provide an opportunity for NAQC staff to update you on our work and for you to share your work and areas of interest. Schedule a Special Topic Meetings

Is your organization taking on a new quitline project or experiencing challenges in your current quitline activities? Contact NAQC to schedule an hour-long meeting to discuss your goals and how we may be able to help. Please contact membership@naquitline.org to schedule a time for a special topic meeting.

Engage in different learning and networking opportunities


We offer a variety of ways for members to learn and connect with colleagues. Members can access:

  • NAQC conferences,
  • past communications to members,
  • participate in the Listserv,
  • access and use the member directory,
  • search the website for relevant information and resources, and
  • important features in your personal member profile

Serve on Learning Communities or Workgroups

NAQC offers a variety of opportunities for members to collaboratively participate on topics of interest or expertise. To learn more about the current and upcoming learning communities and workgroups, please contact NAQC@naquitline.org.
