Since 2004, each year NAQC conducts a
survey of quitlines in North America.
The information collected in the survey advances our understanding of quitline operations and services. By sharing information about quitline financing, counseling interventions, medication provision, utilization, staffing and evaluation, quitlines
contribute greatly to the field. Aggregate results are shared with the quitline community and partners and help achieve NAQC’s mission of promoting evidence based quitline services across diverse communities in North America. For information about
each year’s survey, including survey instruments and results, please see the details below.
NAQC makes annual survey data available to members through a peer-review process. Please send the completed

The FY2011 Annual Survey of Quitlines was conducted in two parts. The Budget Survey was fielded from August to October 2011. 65 quitline funders were asked to respond. 50 of 53 US funders responded (94%) and 12 of 12 Canadian funders responded (100%). The remaining Annual Survey sections were fielded from January to March 2012. 65 quitline funders and service providers were asked to respond. 53 of 53 US quitlines responded (100%) and 10 of 12 Canadian quitlines responded (83%). Additional information from CDC’s Quarterly Services Survey and NAQC quitline profiles were also included in the analysis. Each quitline provided information for its own Fiscal Year 2011 (however each quitline determined the start and end date of its fiscal year).
