Quitline managers will benefit from this workshop which will focus on best practices for managing and overseeing state quitlines.  During the workshop, NAQC members will hear presentations and engage in discussions about the Evolving Dynamics of Quitlines. Topics to be covered during the workshop include:

• Improving quitline business operations. From updating RFPs for quitline contracts to making sound business decisions regarding services offerings for your quitline.
•  The Importance of Partnerships from cost sharing with Medicaid to engaging employers and other community partners.
• Improving Reach and Quit Rates through implementing eReferral and other technology based services.

This workshop will highlight ways quitlines can improve reach and treatment for priority populations. During the workshop, participants will hear panel presentations and discuss the following topics:

• Data about priority populations (e.g., who’s calling, retention, use of services, quit rates) from quitline service providers;
• Challenges and opportunities for reaching priority populations; and
• Lessons learned in tailoring quitline services to priority populations.

Following the presentations, participants will engage in small group dialogues to discuss how the information from the presentations can be used to improve reach and treatment for priority populations in their states.
