Welcome to our new Advisory Council members and thank you to
outgoing members!
On behalf of NAQC, I would like to welcome our new Advisory Council members as
well as to thank those who have completed their terms and are rotating off this
year. We greatly appreciate the time and effort members contribute to Advisory
Council activities.
The Advisory Council is a leadership group that provides guidance and advice on
programmatic issues to NAQC. The Council has been instrumental in defining and
implementing NAQC’s quality improvement initiative. Members have helped to
identify critical topics for improving the quality of quitlines and have
approved reports on the selected topics. These reports have been instrumental in moving the field forward.
The Council also participated in NAQC’s strategic discussions about graphic
health warnings and the national tobacco education campaign. During 2012/2013,
we hope the Council will have a strategic focus on quitline referral programs
and the future of quitlines.
