NAQC is pleased to announce that the Community Preventive Services Task Force has released new findings and review information on reducing tobacco use and secondhand smoke exposure. Please see below:

We have several exciting announcements regarding our Reducing Tobacco Use and Secondhand Smoke Exposure topic area.
  • The Community Preventive Services Task Force (Task Force) released three new evidence-based recommendations about:
  1. Increasing the Unit Price of Tobacco Products
  2. Mass-Reach Health Communication Interventions
  3. Smoke-Free Policies
  • Additional information is now available for two previous Task Force recommendations:
  1. Quitline Interventions
  2. Reducing Out-of-Pocket Costs for Evidence-Based Tobacco Cessation Treatments
