The Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) is recognizing Medicaid’s contribution to the health and security of the most vulnerable Americans over the last five decades. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Medicaid, CMCS has been posting highlights of the people, places, and progress that represent the Medicaid program we know today. On July 8, 2015, this commemoration included a highlight on tobacco cessation and quitlines.
