Helpers Program: A Pilot Test of Brief Tobacco Intervention Training in Three Corporations

This study examined the feasibility and acceptability of offering a web-based training program for people interested in encouraging smokers to quit and use effective treatment. The authors concluded that the program is both feasible and well accepted. Web site users will participate in training, encourage quitting, and refer smokers to quitline services.
