NAQC staff hopes you are doing well and staying healthy during these unprecedented and difficult times. During our conversations with so many of you, we have learned of changes in your work locations and your responsibilities. COVID-19 has had an impact on all of us, andit is more important than ever to work together in navigating through the new challenges and opportunities. Staff at NAQC has been gathering resources and convening meetings to support the important work you are doing. Our Quitline service providers and state agencies have been successful in ensuring that Quitline service continues to be available, and that staffing, NRT supply, IT services and other necessary materials are secured. We ask you to join NAQC and stay engaged in these important and collaborative activities.

I hope you will renew your membership in the Consortium, share your work with us and allow us to share important resources and tools with you. Your participation is the key tosuccess of the Quitline community!

NAQC’s membership drive for 2020/2021 begins today and I would like to ask you to renew your NAQC membership by July 1.

Please keep the following dates in mind:
April 2020 – launch of the membership drive and distribution of invoices.
June 30, 2020– last day to renew your membership
July 1, 2020– beginning of the new membership year

• May 6 webinar on Quitline engagement in lung cancer screening research
• New literature and practice reviews on youth cessation, vaping cessation and technology-based cessation services
• Dialogues on the impact of COVID-19 and ways to leverage the new Surgeon General’s Report on Tobacco Cessation
