Thanks to Our Candidates and Nomination Committee

I would like to give special thanks to the candidates who were willing to have their names put forward for the election, NAQC members who nominated potential candidates and those who voted in the election, and to members of the Nomination Committee (Miranda Spitznagle, Committee Chair, Linda Bailey, Paula Keller, Chad Morris, Catherine Saucedo and Hilary Tindle).

Message to NAQC from Outgoing Chair

As I conclude my service to NAQC as Board Chair, I would like to say a special thank you to Linda Bailey and the entire staff of NAQC.  I have always felt so supported by you all in my role as Chair and could not have done it without you.  Thanks as well to all the Board Directors I have had the pleasure of serving with.  I have learned so much from all you in our collective efforts to provide strong governance for the organization.  I also want to say thank you to the members of NAQC who remain united in their commitment to serve all those harmed by tobacco.

While my board service ends at a time of much uncertainty, I remain confident that NAQC will continue to advance its mission and hopeful that we all will use the crises of COVID and racial injustice as catalysts for major changes in our world.

If you have questions about the responsibilities of the Board or suggested nominees for next year’s election, please contact the Board at Board@naquitline.org. Please note that you can submit potential candidates for the NAQC Board throughout the year.

Submitted on behalf of the Board,

Barbara Schillo, PhD
Board Chair, 2018-2020
