The time-limited optional intake question for states interested in identifying the number of public housing agency (PHA) residents will sunset on December 31, 2020. In February 2018, NAQC convened a workgroup of 10 members to determine a mechanism state quitlines could use to identify Public Housing Agency (PHA) residents who call state quitlines. To balance concerns about adding a new question to the MDS intake, it was decided that the question would only remain in place for a two-year time period. NAQC requested that states interested in the intake question adopt the question by December 31, 2018 and keep the question in place through December 31, 2020 (a two-year timeframe). NAQC is sunsetting this question to reduce the number of MDS intake questions.
