April 23, 1-2 p.m. ET The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is hosting a webinar to support health professionals and families in addressing adolescent e-cigarette use in clinical, community, and school settings. The webinar “Youth and Nicotine Use/Dependence” will be led by Maria Rahmandar MD FAAP. Dr Rahmandar is a pediatrician leader in pediatric tobacco control and prevention and serves as Medical Director of the Substance Use & Prevention Program at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The webinar is open to anyone who is interested in addressing youth e-cigarette use: clinicians, public health professionals, school professionals, advocates, families, and the general public. Webinar Learning Objectives: By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to: - Identify and address e-cigarette use in clinical settings such as primary care, school-based health, and behavioral health
- Identify strategies to help youth quit e-cigarette use in non-clinical settings: at home and in school
