In light of stalled progress in smoking cessation gains, Dr. Schroeder urges us to fight a war against “not only the acute epidemic, but also on the chronic one.” He highlights the CDC’s Tips from Former Smokers Campaign in its 10th year, as well as SCLC’s “I COVID Quit” social media campaign as tools to help bring attention back to the damage done by smoking—America’s chronic epidemic.
