Learning Community Meeting on Technology- Mediated Services is FRIDAY!

Dear Colleague,

I hope you are well. I wanted to make sure you received information on our upcoming Learning Community meeting on Technology-mediated Quitline Services. It is scheduled on Friday, July 23rd from 1:00 – 3:00 pm EDT and may be of interest to you and your teams.

This session will focus on the Integration of Technology-mediated Services with Traditional Quitline Services and the Client Journey. The first session will be a dialogue with Thomas Ylioja from National Jewish Health and Etta Short from Optum, and respondents Pat Bax with Roswell Park and Sandra Hernandez with the California Smokers Helpline, followed by a Q&A and open dialogue period. The topics discussed will include how phone services has been integrated with text, web, and other digital services to offer options and track use. Some of the challenges and solutions will be described. Speakers will discuss the integration of services from a single quitline service provider as well as integration between a traditional quitline and third-party providers.

The second session will be a presentation and dialogue on Client Journey with Jason Lindo from Strategic Research Innovations (Toronto), followed by a Q&A and open dialogue period. This session will focus on applying what quitlines have learned from early integration efforts to collect metrics and engage in quality improvement cycles.

You can view the agenda here. You may want to browse the Learning Community Practice Brief: Evolving Quitline Practices (2020), pages 3-9, which describes some of the integration and client journey challenges.
