Job Opening: OSDH Tobacco Use and Prevention Manager.
OSDH is seeking qualified candidates for a Tobacco Use and Prevention Manager within our Chronic Disease Prevention department.  This position closes on 10/20/2021.  Learn more here.  

Position Description:
This position manages all aspects of the Tobacco Use and Prevention branch within the Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, supervising four direct reports who provide supervision to one additional individual in the area of Cessation Systems Initiatives, serving as the Principal Investigator on grants as assigned, overseeing the successful implementation and reporting of comprehensive tobacco control services for CDC and other related projects, and providing support and expertise for policy development. This position is also responsible for administrative support for the state tobacco control coalition. These functions are performed to ensure internal and external partners receive the necessary assistance to address tobacco control issues locally and statewide.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of planning, community-based programs, and public health principles; evidence-based practices related to tobacco control and chronic disease prevention. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and collaborate as an effective team member; communicate effectively both orally and in writing, exercise sound judgment, and analyze and resolve highly complex situations.
