Dear Colleagues, NAQC is excited to announce our 2026 Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors! We invite you to recommend talented leaders for one open Board position, with a term starting in August 2026. Nominate by February 27. You may recommend first-time or returning candidates. See our current board here, and full election details here. Why Serve? NAQC’s Board steers our governance, ensures fiscal health, and drives strategic direction and sustainability. Who We’re Looking For: We seek visionary candidates from the US or Canada with a passion for commercial tobacco treatment innovation and sustainability, offering expertise in: - Sustainability and funding strategies for commercial tobacco treatment services, including policy, and partnerships
- Understanding of the broad reach and effectiveness of commercial tobacco treatment programs across multiple modalities
- Fundraising through donations, grants and/or contracts to support NAQC’s mission
- Understanding needs of specific populations such as Indigenous communities or others
- Board governance, policies and procedures, legal or finance/fiduciary expertise and business acumen
Ideal candidates have senior or executive experience, leadership skills, and a record of strategic, innovative, and collegial engagement. About NAQC’s Board: - Shapes NAQC’s global vision and direction
- Board members represent the organization, not individual employers or constituencies
- We value diversity in geography, background, and perspectives
- 3-year term (renewable once); commitment includes 4 meetings a year and committee work
Board members are expected to support NAQC’s mission, bring diverse viewpoints, address health disparities, and fulfill fiduciary responsibilities—including, when possible, supporting travel costs to meetings.
