Ohio Tobacco Quit Line is driving innovation in tobacco cessation through its newly launched OBGYN Training and Outreach Program, designed to empower healthcare providers and boost quit rates among pregnant and post-partum populations statewide. This initiative features a dual strategy to maximize impact: Printed Materials in OBGYN Offices Partnering with 145 OBGYN offices across Ohio, OTQL strategically distributes printed counter cards and take-ones that highlight incentives for coaching session participation. By integrating materials in trusted clinical settings, the program ensures consistency with healthcare advice and improves engagement, demonstrated by an 8.5% rise in incentivized participant actions from prior campaigns. Multi-Touchpoint Email Campaign A meticulously crafted 6-touchpoint email targeting 1,500 OBGYN providers, delivers on-demand training, eligible for continuing education credit, covering Quit Line services, the impact of tobacco use, and patient referral best practices. This channel elevates provider awareness and motivates practical action towards patient support. By uniting provider education with patient outreach, the program is raising awareness and strengthening referral flows, ultimately helping more Ohio families achieve tobacco-free lives.
