Dear Colleagues,

The North American Quitline Consortium is pleased to share a new resource - Earned Media Guide: An Overview for Quitline Programs. This practical resource is designed for state, provincial, territorial, and local government professionals working in tobacco control and quitline programs and offers strategies, templates, and examples to help strengthen media presence, build sustainable communications systems, and highlight the impact of quitline services.

The recording of the release webinar, Earned Media That Works: New Guide for Quitlines, is now available for on-demand viewing. In the session, presenters walked through the structure and key features of the guide, demonstrated ways to use it as both a training and reference tool, and discussed how programs can adapt press materials, op-eds, and outreach plans to their local context.

You can:

  • Access the Earned Media Guide here.
  • Watch the webinar recording here.

NAQC extends sincere thanks to Golin for their partnership in developing the guide and to NAQC members whose input, strategic direction, and quitline operations expertise ensured the content reflects current best practices in tobacco cessation communications. This work was made possible through the support of NAQC membership dues—thank you to all members for helping create this resource and for your continued commitment to advancing quitline excellence.

We hope that you will find this resource to be useful in your work to expand the reach of quitline services!

Warm regards,
