This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the benefits and harms of using reduced-nicotine cigarettes, compared with standard cigarettes, in people who smoke. To evaluate the benefits and harms of smoking cessation or reduction interventions used as an adjunct to reduced-nicotine cigarettes in people who smoke, compared with the same interventions delivered without reduced-nicotine cigarettes.
