Greetings NAQC members!
It is with great pleasure that the North
American Quitline Consortium (NAQC) announces the launch of The Global
Quitline Network (GQN).
The work of the GQN is deeply rooted in a
mission to support implementation of Article 14 of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control
by sharing best practices with new and developing quitlines across the
globe. GQN is a vibrant e-network dedicated to improving the quality of quitline
services through peer-to-peer networking and problem-solving and ensuring access
to critical evidence, tools, resources and information.
GQN is led by
NAQC with guidance from advisors that include the European Network of Quitlines,
Asian Pacific Quitline Network, Global Bridges, Hollings Cancer Center and Alere
Wellbeing.
Click here to find a brochure that highlights the work of the GQN,
outlines the many resources found on its Web site (www.globalqlnetwork.org),
and provides instructions for how to join us.
We invite you to browse
the GQN Web site and become familiar with the tools and resources we have made
available to those working to implement and strengthen quitline services across
the globe. We would also like to ask that you forward this e-bulletin and the
link to the brochure to those colleagues who might find interest in the
GQN.
With thanks,
Linda A Bailey President &
CEO
