2019 Survey

Since 2004, NAQC has conducted an annual survey of quitlines in North America. The information collected in the survey advances our understanding of quitline operations and services. By sharing information about quitline financing, counseling interventions, medication provision, utilization, staffing and evaluation, quitlines contribute greatly to the field. Aggregate results are shared with the quitline community and partners and help achieve NAQC's mission of monitoring overall progress of quitlines and promoting evidence based quitline services across diverse communities in North America.

Each year NAQC reviews the Annual Survey to determine if changes are needed. In 2019, NAQC reviewed comments and feedback from members on the FY2018 annual survey to guide changes to the FY2019 annual survey.

Although we had hoped to conduct the annual survey in Canada as well as the U.S. this year, we have not been able to secure Canadian funding.

  •  FY2019 annual survey training webinar was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Please click here to access webinar slides and recording. 
  • FY2019 annual survey closed on February 28, 2020. An invitation email will be sent to the main contact for each state quitline on December 11, 2019 providing a link and instructions to the survey tool.

    Please take a minute to update your state’s quitline profile! Information from the NAQC’s Quitline Profiles are used as part of the annual survey analysis. We ask that each state review their quitline profile to make sure the information is up-to-date. If you need assistance with making changes to your state’s quitline profile please contact Natalia Gromov at ngromov@naquitline.org.

  • FY2019 annual survey results webinar will be presented on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 3:00pm – 4:30pm (ET). During the webinar, we will present the findings to NAQC members and discuss the current state of quitline services, budgets, utilization, and evaluation data. Register for the webinar here.
