NAQC'S ROLE

The North American Quitline Consortium (NAQC) is a learning organization that helps to provide the research and resources necessary to positively and proactively reduce the impact tobacco use has on our society. NAQC’s mission is to serve a consortium of trusted partners across North America to advance access, use, and effectiveness of treatment services for commercial tobacco products.

  • Since 2025, more than 17.4 million calls were made to state quitlines.
  • In 2025, 100% of U.S. quitlines offered proactive counseling.
  • In 2025, 100% of U.S. quitlines accepted referrals from healthcare and social service providers for treatment.
  • In 2025, 94% of U.S. quitlines offered tailored and interactive web or mobile-based interventions.
  • In 2025, 96% of U.S. quitlines offered free cessation medications.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Membership in NAQC is limited to organizations that are engaged in quitline work. However, the Corporate Roundtable provides an opportunity for organizations to be kept updated on the progress of quitlines and to engage in a dialogue on issues of importance to quitlines and cessation. By becoming a delegate to the Corporate Roundtable, your organization can directly contribute to NAQC’s impact and influence on cessation services.

Corporate Roundtable members serve in an advisory capacity to NAQC, specifically giving input and providing guidance on cessation issues. Those eligible to serve include companies that produce and sell cessation medications, telephony providers, and other select corporations.

Additional benefits to becoming a roundtable delegate include:

• An exhibit table at NAQC’s in-person and virtual events to showcase your organization

• An invitation to NAQC’s conference reception and the opportunity to network with members in attendance

• Acknowledgment of your involvement in the NAQC conference/meeting brochure and other materials

• Recognition on the NAQC website

• 15 hours of consultation with the CEO to discuss cessation strategy and plan joint projects

• Opportunities to engage and inform NAQC members about joint projects

We would like to thank our current Corporate Roundtable Delegate for their support and commitment to NAQC!
