ClearWay MinnesotaSM is seeking a Cessation Manager that
will lead our efforts to integrate tobacco dependence treatment into routine
health care in Minnesota through health systems change. This person will:
* Monitor the health care environment so we
can capitalize on relevant trends;
* Plan and implement health systems change
initiatives for tobacco dependence treatment;
* Manage grants and contracts that support our
health systems change work;
* Provide technical assistance;
* Partner within and outside the organization
to foster health systems change; and
* Participate in efforts to evaluate this
work.
ClearWay Minnesota has a goal of ensuring that all
Minnesotans have access to comprehensive tobacco dependence treatment. This is
a mission-critical position to help us achieve this goal. This position is
located in ClearWay Minnesota's Cessation Department and reports to the
Director of Cessation Programs. Some travel, both in-state and out-of-state, is
required.
Candidates must have:
* At least a Bachelor's degree in public
health, nursing, public policy, public administration, or a relevant field
(Master's degree preferred)
* At least
three years of experience in large-scale project planning and implementation of
policy and systems change interventions for disease prevention or health care
quality improvement, particularly with health care systems, clinics and
providers
Other desired experience and knowledge includes:
* Experience in project management
* Experience providing technical assistance
* Experience working with diverse stakeholders
at the local and state level, including health care providers, clinics and
clinic systems, and health plans
* Experience in grants or contracts
administration
* Understanding of health care delivery
systems and health care policies that impact health systems change
