State of Maine Tobacco Prevention and Control Data Specialist Position Opening (May 22 Deadline).

The Maine CDC's Tobacco Prevention and Control Team within the Tobacco and Substance Use Prevention and Control (TSUPC) Program is looking for a Data Coordinator to support its US CDC's Office of Smoking and Health (OSH) grant requirement and submissions.

 

This position assists the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program Manager with all day-to-day Tobacco Program data needs, including US CDC grant applications, notice of award and annual performance reporting, evaluation reporting and all other grant requirements and submissions. A well-rounded understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation is paramount. You will serve as the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program representative at the Maine Integrated Youth Health Survey (MIYHS), Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) Steering Committees' monthly/quarterly meetings. You will work as needed with the survey coordinators and the epidemiologists regarding the reviewing of questions and the development of factsheets. You will be responsible for monitoring and submitting performance measures for all tobacco program components as well as replying to any internal and external data inquires that the tobacco prevention and control program may receive.
