The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health has released a draft framework to support and accelerate smoking cessation, building on supports already in place for people who want to quit. The Department is seeking input from the public on its efforts to sustain and strengthen existing programs and drive further progress toward smoking cessation. The framework focuses on serving populations and communities disproportionately impacted by smoking-related morbidity and mortality. The comment period ends July 30, 2023.
