The Nicotine Dependence Center Tobacco Treatment Specialist Certification Program at Mayo Clinic is nationally accredited by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs. Completion of this program will allow participants to pursue national certification.

The Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) Certification Program welcomes participants from different backgrounds and ideologies. The program embraces and appreciates the cultural diversity of participants and currently has trained professionals from more than 40 different countries. We shall not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.

The overarching goal of the program is to assist professionals in becoming competent in the provision of treatment for individuals dependent on tobacco and to formally recognize this competence.
