This Notice of Funding Opportunity (RFA‑OD‑25‑008) invites applications from emerging biomedical, behavioral, and social science investigators seeking to establish independent research careers in tobacco regulatory science. Using the R03 small‑grant mechanism, the program supports short‑term, high‑impact projects such as pilot or feasibility studies, secondary data analyses, development of new research methods, or innovative technologies.

Projects should aim to generate findings that can inform future FDA regulations on tobacco product manufacturing, distribution, or marketing. This initiative is jointly supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the FDA Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.
