Webinar objectives:
a) Provide a brief overview of the Joint Commission’s new tobacco
Core Measures b) Understand the potential clinical benefits both specific
to hospitals (e.g. reduced readmission, reduced surgical and procedural
complication rates) and other beneficial outcomes c) Discuss the potential
revenue sources (billing) for hospitals and how the standards are an opportunity
for positive return on investment d) Address challenges facing hospitals
considering adoption of the tobacco measures e) Discuss lessons learned
and challenges from a pilot site

Accreditation: The
University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine is accredited
by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide
continuing medical education for physicians and allied health
professionals.
UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of
1.5 AMA PRA Category 1
CreditsTM. Participants who join the LIVE
session, on May 14, 2012, are eligible to earn up to 1.5 CME/CEU credits for a
fee of $25 per CME/CEU certificate. Physicians and allied health professionals
should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in
the webinar activity. Don’t need to claim CME/CEUs? SCLC will issue a free
certificate of attendance for those who need contact hours
only.
