E-Cigarettes Go Tobacco-Free with Synthetic Nicotine.

Next Generation Labs is making synthetic nicotine targeted toward vaping liquid companies. This tobacco-free nicotine is 13 times more expensive than nicotine from tobacco plants and has a cleaner flavor than tobacco-derived nicotine, requiring fewer sweeteners.  The company is assessing where it fits into FDA’s deeming rule given that their product is synthetic, though they received guidance from FDA that the products will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
