Dear Colleague:
We would like to inform you of the upcoming webinar, Medicaid-Public Health Partnership to Improve Health and Control Costs: Early Lessons from the CDC’s 6|18 Initiative, on June 28 from 1 to 2:30 pm ET hosted by CHCS . As you may know, 6|18 is a CDC Initiative that targets six common and costly health conditions – tobacco use, high blood pressure, healthcare-associated infections, asthma, unintended pregnancies, and diabetes – and 18 proven specific interventions that form the starting point of discussions with purchasers, payers, and providers to improve health and control health care costs. The CDC’s 6|18 Initiative unites Medicaid and public health agencies in implementing proven strategies to prevent chronic and infectious diseases by increasing coverage, access, utilization, and quality. Join a Center for Health Care Strategies webinar, made possible through support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to hear from state officials in South Carolina and Rhode Island about their 6|18 efforts to improve tobacco cessation and asthma care for children.
