CDC’s New Videos Promoting Quitlines!

Smokers who call a quitline are more likely to quit successfully, however many people don’t know about them or how they work. To help de-mystify the experience, CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) has created a new series of videos to illustrate how calling a quitline can help people who smoke quit for good. The videos demonstrate what people can expect when calling for the first time, and how they can receive free, confidential, non-judgmental coaching. In addition, these videos - featuring real quitline coaches – reveal how coaches handle common quitting issues:

  • Helping people develop a personal quit plan that fits their needs
  • Suggesting tools and resources for managing cravings and avoiding triggers
  • Providing support to handle setbacks

Share these videos on social media, post them on your website, show them at meetings and conferences, and send the links to your colleagues and networks. The possibilities are endless!  Here’s how you can access the videos for use:
