HHS Appropriation and Prevention Fund Breakdowns

				According to Advocates for a Healthier American, the House Labor/HHS, Education and Related Agencies appropriations subcommittee approved its funding measure on Thursday evening.

  The $750 million in mandatory Prevention Fund dollars are divided as follows: HRSA, $30 million; CDC, $594 million; SAMSHA, $116 million; and AHRQ, $10 million. On the discretionary funding side, CDC would receive $32 million over FY10, and $170 million over the President's request. Will share more detailed breakdowns when available. The Senate subcommittee is scheduled to consider its funding measure next Thursday.
