NAQC has signed on to a letter opposing Senator Johanns’ amendment (No. 4596) to the Small Business Jobs and Credit Act. The Johanns’ amendment would eliminate funding for the Prevention and Public Health Fund in the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which provides funding for tobacco control (including quitlines) and other important prevention activities. A vote on the Johanns’ amendment is scheduled for later this week. We will keep you apprised of the outcome.
