Webinar on Combatting Tobacco Industry Interference Before, During, & After the Age of COVID-19

				A webinar this Thursday, May 28th at 12:00pm ET follows the World Health Organization's theme for World No Tobacco Day (this Sunday) of exposing tobacco industry interference.  
An impressive panel is lined up for you:  
*             Mary Assunta, Head of Global Research and Advocacy at the Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC) and Senior Policy Advisor at the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA), will cover their Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index (GTI) which tracks and ranks tobacco industry interference in over a dozen countries and is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies.  
*             Nichelle Gray, Program Coordinator at Action on Smoking & Health (ASH), will discuss our reporting on U.S. interference for the Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index and ASH's U.S. Industry Interference Index.  
*             Doug Matheny, Programs and Initiatives Manager for State and Local Policy at the Oklahoma Health Promotion Research Center, will cover practical ways to de-normalize, de-legitimize, and combat tobacco industry interference at the state and local level, highlighting the opportunities we have to come out of the COVID-19 pandemic better equipped to achieve best practices in tobacco control policy.  
*             Simone St Claire and Kerstin Schotte, World Health Organization, will introduce the WHO's campaign theme and materials for World No Tobacco Day. A link to sharable social media content will be distributed after the webinar.
