Webinar on September 24: American Academy of Pediatrics Webinar on E-Cigarettes.

The AAP Julius B. Richmond Center of Excellence is hosting a series of free webinars on clinical and policy approaches to addressing youth e-cigarette use and prevention with adolescents, families, and communities. These webinars are open to pediatric health providers, school teachers and administrators, public health professionals, parents, and others who are invested in adolescent health. The first webinar, “E-cigarettes 101,” will be given by Chris Harris, MD FAAP. Dr. Harris will provide viewers with general information about e-cigarettes, address the epidemiology of adolescent vaping, identify the known health impacts of e-cigarette use, and will describe the appeal of e-cigarettes to adolescents and young adults. 
 
Upon completion of this presentation, learners should be able to: 
1. Define what e-cigarettes are 
2. Define the known health effects of e-cigarettes 
3. Describe why e-cigarettes are attractive to teens and young adults
