September 28, NAATPN, Inc., the 20-year-old national non-profit organization
known for its persistent fight against the sale of mentholated tobacco
products, announced a complete organizational rebrand and name change to The Center for Black Health & Equity (The Center).
After decades of building the capacity of communities and providing education
to government officials, the organization’s national network of community
advocates and public health practitioners is stronger and more influential than
ever.
NAATPN will maintain a presence within The Center as the organization’s
flagship program. Thus, tobacco-related work around cessation, menthol
restrictions and policy change will continue under the NAATPN program.
