Science & Practice in the Retail Environment (ASPiRE), an NCI-funded
center, has announced a pilot research grant funding opportunity. Two $10,000
grants will be awarded for developmental or early-stage work, including pilot
data collection and analysis, in preparation for submission for future external
funding. ASPiRE is interested in projects that will enhance the sharing,
uptake, and use of evidence relating to tobacco retail policy. Potential
research themes include research on how policies spread between jurisdictions,
how evidence is used to inform policy development and implementation, how new
policy approaches are developed and tested, approaches to enhance stakeholders
use of evidence, evaluation of policy implementation, etc.
