Dr. Jasjit Ahluwalia Appointed by Secretary of Health and Human Services

Dr. Jasjit S. Ahluwalia, Director of the Center for Health Equity and Professor of Medicine, has been appointed by the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, to serve on the National Advisory Council on Minority Health and Health Disparities of the National Institutes of Health for a 3 year term. The Council advises and makes recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Director of NIH, and the Director of the newly created National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities.
