New! Online Training for Healthcare Providers on Treating LGBTQ+ Patients.
The National LGBT Cancer Network recently launched Welcoming Spaces: Treating Your LGBTQ+ Patient. Welcoming Spaces is an online training series that will help providers and healthcare employees address barriers to health equity in care delivery through cultural competency and cultural humility education. The first module of the online training provides basic LGBTQ+ introductory terminology and tools for breaking down assumptions and developing strategies for addressing harmful interactions. Additional training modules will be released throughout the first half of 2022.  

Welcoming Spaces is a collaboration between expert physicians, psychologists, researchers, educators, trainers, and patient advocates from across the United States.
