Deadline of October 31: Comment Opportunity - Medicaid and CHIP Core Set.

The
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a proposed rule
on Mandatory
Medicaid and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) Core Set Reporting,
with comments due on
Friday, October 21. The rule will require state Medicaid
programs to report on quality measures in the Behavioral Health Core Set,
including the Medical Assistance with Smoking and Tobacco Use Cessation, which
could be a great incentive for states to improve tobacco cessation treatment in
their Medicaid programs and promote health equity.
